Commencing operations in 1975, Lead Co., Ltd. has been quintessential in producing ceramic packages safeguarding ICs, symbolically referred as the “rice of the industry”. Nevertheless, to evolve out of an environment defined by high economic volatility, we made strides towards business diversification and initiated the manufacturing of automobile electrical equipment, the “people’s feet” in 1991.
High quality is a requisite for both ceramics and electronic components. The value that our experiences hold has gone, and any predictions we make for the future are becoming meaningless. Amidst all this, where should we go? What kind of world should we strive for? Where is the path that we should tread? We may need to adopt a different way of thinking, one that does not confine us in our old framework. It is based on our vision that we work with our customers to solve problems, and must also play a part in identifying future issues. For these reasons, we need to transform our company into one that is meaningful. In a world where we can no longer anticipate what lies ahead, we will continue to listen to our customers and hone our strengths in order not to lose sight of our place in the world. Although the reality we are facing now cannot be changed, the way we look at it can be changed. We are determined to change the status quo and our perceptions by letting go of our past experiences and conventional wisdom.

Why is the company named LEAD Co., Ltd.?

There are three origins for the name.
Lead Generation

The first one lies in the English word ‘LEAD,’ which means ‘to guide’ or ‘to bring out’.
This reflects our constant pursuit of new technology and ideas with the implication of ‘leading the era =
LEAD GENERATION.’

Lead-Frame

The second origin has its roots in our company’s early involvement in producing an essential electronic component known as ‘LEAD FRAME,’ which plays a crucial role in signal transmission and energy supply.

Leadership

The last one comes from our since-foundation history as a processing contractor that dutifully carried out tasks given. By nature, unless instructed, the company was rather passive, unable to take any actions of its own. We desire to break this state and become a company that shows ‘leadership = LEADERSHIP’ by being proactive in all matters.
