The electronic business department was established in Okazaki Shouten Co., Ltd. (Mine City)

1980

Separated from Okazaki Shouten Co., Ltd. to establish Toyota Electronics Plant Co., Ltd., and built Nishiichi Plant (Mine City)

1981

Built Toyotamae Plant (Mine City)

1987

Built Mine Plant (Mine City)

1988

Changed the company name from Toyotamae Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to LEAD Co., Ltd.

1989

Built Ube Plant (Ube City)

1991

Constructed Ube 2nd Plant, moved the head office to Ube City

In response to the needs of the semiconductor parts, electronic parts, and ceramic parts industries, we have started contract work for brazing, lead bonding, slicing, grinding, and microscopic visual inspection.

From 1991 onwards

Since the construction of the Ube factory, we have started contract work for surface mounting on circuit boards inside handles, assembly, soldering, printing, and visual inspection of components such as turn signals, wipers, foot switches, inhibitor switches for automatic transmissions, and door switches for automotive electrical components (switch control circuits/switch components). There was a trend towards expanding the types of switches to be handled.

From 2000 onwards

In an era where mass production was shifting to China and risk management was beginning to be whispered, and it became necessary to have two company purchasing and a premise of transactions with rivals, it became difficult to stabilize performance with a passive business format of accepting work from only specific clients. Therefore, we have transformed into a business format that accepts work regardless of different industries for each owned technology and equipment. While continuing transactions with existing industries, we started contract manufacturing such as surface mounting and assembly with new amusement industry, printing with medical parts industry, and insert molding.

With the increasing demand for grinding, the Mine factory was operated as a specialized factory for ceramic mirror finishing from 1981 to 2016 (currently closed).

From 2010 onwards

With the spread of smartphones, the development of communication technology, and the advancement of the adoption of semiconductors and ceramics in automobiles and aerospace, we have entered an era where high-function, high-quality, fine and delicate is required. In order not to be left behind in the times, we have introduced various precision processing and measurement devices such as dicing, scribing, image size processing devices, which will later become our mainstay.

From 2021 onwards

Even though we have transactions with various industries, we often show similar industry trends because it is premised on using the technologies and devices we own, and we declined in tandem when faced with the Corona vortex. Therefore, we started sales and technical acquisition activities focusing on transactions with industries that can be expected to show different trends. In recent years, there are issues of rising prices and labor shortages, but performance is recovering with the backing of the semiconductor market’s favorable conditions. Also, transactions with different industries showing different trends are progressing smoothly.
